Woodstock 50 might still have a chance after all.
According to TMZ, Oppenheimer & Co. are helping to secure funding for the troubled festival.
The festival’s original backers, Dentsu Aegis, pulled out last month and publicly released a statement announcing the cancellation of the event. However, co-founder Michael Lang was quick to extinguish the cancellation rumors, insisting that the show would continue if they could find new financiers.
Earlier this week, a judge ruled that Dentsu Aegis had no right to cancel the festival, but also ruled that Dentsu could retain the $17.8 million they removed from the festival’s account.
