Frank Sontag
Frank M. Sontag Jr. was born July 6th, 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio. In his early toddler years, Frank showed a keen interest in two areas, horses and music. By the age of 8, Frank began taking accordion lessons, with possible aspirations of music as a career.
Within the next year, Frank placed first in a number of competitions, with the highlight being a third place finish in a contest that featured more than 600 children from all over the entire state of Ohio.
But in February of 1964, Frank's life would be changed forever. On a winter's night in the suburbs of Eastlake, Ohio, the Sontag family sat down to watch a little television. And on this particular evening, four lads from Liverpool, England made their American debut on the Ed Sullivan Show. No more accordion.
