They remove obstacles and provide the accountability and structure that people who are experiencing homelessness need to be productive in their communities.  The Midnight Mission is the oldest continuously operating human service organization in the Los Angeles region. American Cancer Society –For over 100 years, the American Cancer Society (ACS) has worked relentlessly to save lives and create a world with less cancer. Together with millions of our supporters worldwide, we help people stay well and get well, find cures, and fight back against cancer.  The Society relies on the strength of approximately 2.5 million dedicated volunteers. Supported by professional staff, Society volunteers drive every part of our mission. They raise funds to support crucial research, provide cancer patients rides to and from treatments, and give one-on-one support to those facing a cancer diagnosis – and that’s just the beginning.  Stay well: We help people take steps to prevent cancer or find it at its earliest, most treatable stage.  Get well: We’re available around the clock to help people through every step of their cancer experience.  Find cures: We fund and conduct research that helps us better understand, prevent, and find cures for cancer.  Fight back: We work with lawmakers to pass laws to defeat cancer and rally communities worldwide to join the fight.  For more information, please visit www.cancer.org.
