Woodstock 50 Loses Venue and Second Backer

The struggle never ends.

After Woodstock 50 faced multiple complications in the past few months, including losing its financial backer and venue, co-creator Michael Lang had kept insisting that the show would still go on. Although tickets did not go on sale in April as planned, new financial backing had been secured.

However, with just 66 days to go until the festival was supposed to take place, Watkins Glen International stated this week, ““Watkins Glen International terminated the site license for Woodstock pursuant to provisions of the contract. As such, WGI will not be hosting the Woodstock 50 Festival.”

Production company CID Entertainment shortly followed suit as well.
