Woodstock 50 Denied Permit

Woodstock 50 just can’t catch a break.

The town of Vernon, New York has officially denied festival organizers a permit to hold the event on August 16-18.

According to Varietya town board meeting rejected Woodstock 50’s application for Vernon Downs Racetrack. Their reason is simply that the small town of 5,400 people cannot handle a three-day crowd estimated to consist of 65,000 people.

Lang has the option to appeal the decision within five days. However, it’s unlikely that the appeal will be overturned.
