With vinyl sales continuing to rise each year, Amazon is taking advantage of society’s nostalgic interests. Those that sign up for Amazon’s “Vinyl of The Month Club: The Golden Era” for $25/month will receive one vinyl album each month “handpicked by the experts at Amazon.” The records shipped out will be from the “Golden Era,” which refers to the peak time period of records from the 1960s-1980s and will consist of iconic artists such as Aretha Franklin, Pink Floyd, or ABBA.
The LP club is just getting started and hoping to evolve with the help of customer feedback. Amazon calls the subscription “a great gift for anyone who’s just fallen in love with vinyl.”
