2022 Grammys: Foo Fighters Officially The Most-Awarded American Band

Last night, The 2022 Grammys Ceremony aired on CBS to celebrate the biggest releases of the past year. Although rock was not featured heavily at all in the televised event, the rock categories were presented during the “Premiere Ceremony.”

The “Premiere Ceremony” included three awards presented to the Foo Fighters.

  • Best Rock Album for Medicine At Midnight
  • Best Rock Song for Waiting On A War
  • Best Rock Performance for Making A Fire

As of last night, Foo Fighters have received 15 Grammys throughout their career making them the most-awarded American band in history!!

The band was scheduled to celebrate these accolades with a performance, but were not present due to the recent death of drummer Taylor Hawkins. A tribute video was shows in Hawkins’ honor that you can watch here:
