On March 13th, Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen was physically attacked outside the Four Seasons Hotel at Fort Lauderdale Beach in Florida before he was set to perform a show with the band at the Seminole Hard Rock and Casino. While just enjoying a smoke break, a 19-year-old man suddenly ran into Allen and hit him, which caused the drummer to fall backwards and severely knock his head on the ground.

Fortunately, Allen has been recovering well from the terrible incident and plans to get back to performing soon with Def Leppard. He shared his status on social media and wrote, “Thank you all so very much for all of your love and support over the last month. I am still recovering and getting my mind and body ready for the upcoming Def Leppard tour. Just wanted to say hi and let you know, There Will Be Rock!”

We are so glad to hear Rick is okay and we cannot wait to see him again on the road!
