Dolly Parton just proved she stays true to her word. Today the country sweetheart released Rockstar, a rock and roll album featuring collaborations with some of rock music’s greatest legends.
The inspiration for Rockstar began after Parton rejected her nomination into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2022 because she felt she wasn’t a true rock musician. After some consideration, she changed her mind and accepted the award but promised to release a rock album so that the honor was credible.
Rockstar features an extensive collection of 30 songs with contributions from Sting, John Fogerty, Ann Wilson, Peter Frampton, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and Elton John just to name a few.
