45 Years Ago: John Lennon Is Murdered Outside His New York City Apartment

December 8th, 1980 was one of the worst days in rock and roll history.  It was the day that The Beatles’ John Lennon was shot and murdered outside of his New York City apartment, The Dakota.  He was 40 years old.

John Lennon was one of the most prominent figures in rock, and his death marked one of music’s greatest tragedies.  45 years later, and he is still so missed every single day.
