Earlier this summer, Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth and drummer Alex Van Halen reunited for the first time in a decade! Although the reunion didn’t include a performance, the pair did join together on July 30th for a 15-minute conversation called “Beyond Boundaries: How Human Experience Informs Art and Music,” at the TEDxFargo’s 2026 “CHARGE” event in Fargo, North Dakota. The video has just now been released.
The last time Diamond Dave and Alex Van Halen were together on stage was October 4th, 2015 at the Hollywood Bowl for Van Halen’s last concert ever.
