The infamous scene in The Dirt where Ozzy Osbourne snorts ants through a straw did not happen according to former Osbourne guitarist Jake E. Lee.
Lee claims that although both Osbourne and Nikki Sixx did drink their own pee, as portrayed in both the movie and Motley Crue’s book, Osbourne actually snorted a spider rather than a trail of ants.
“I was there, and I never saw ants,” Lee said in a recent interview with Tone-Talk. “I was right there. He snorted a little spider. There was not a trail of fucking ants there. Tommy [Lee] says it, Nikki says it, Ozzy says it – they were fucked up. I was not. … I don’t care what the other guys say – there was no ants.”
