New Rolling Stones Songs In The Works

Apparently, The Rolling Stones cannot be stopped even after sixty years. The band just announced an upcoming 2022 European tour in celebration of their 60th anniversary along with more exciting news from Keith Richards.

While appearing on CBS Sunday Morning, the guitarist stated that he, Mick Jagger, and drummer Steve Jordan (who began touring with the band since Charlie Watts passed away) have been working on writing new songs.

“It’ll be interesting to find out the dynamics now that Steve’s in the band,” Richards said about the songwriting. “It’s sort of metamorphosing into something else. I was working with Mick last week, and Steve, and we came up with some, eight or nine new pieces of material. Which is overwhelming by our standards. Other times, [songwriting is] like a desert.”

The last album The Rolling Stones released was a record of Stones-style blues covers called Blue And Lonesome which came out in 2015. The most recent original work dates back to 2005 with their album A Bigger Bang.
