Jack White Gets Married On Stage

Thousands of Detroit fans will be able to brag for the rest of their lives that they were guests at Jack White’s wedding.

Last Friday, April 8th, Jack White held a concert at the Masonic Temple in Detroit. While performing The White Stripes song Hotel Yorba, he paused to invite his girlfriend (at the time) Olivia Jean, whose band had just opened for White prior to his act. He then proposed to Jean who answered with an enthusiastic “Yes!”

But that wasn’t the only surprise of the night. When White returned on stage for the encore, Jean, White’s mother, Jean’s father, and Third Man Records co-founder Ben Swank also joined them. Swank then officiated an on-stage wedding ceremony for the couple who were clearly in a haste to tie the knot. Both of their bassists served as the “Best Man” and “Maid of Honor.”
