Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced this morning the five inductees for 2016.
Cheap Trick, Chicago, Deep Purple and Steve Miller all made the coveted Hall of Fame and will be inducted on April 8, 2016 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn N.Y.
To become eligible for nomination, a act must have been in business for at least 25 years after the release of their first album. For most of the inductees, it took more than 40 years.
Like most of the inductees this year, it took Chicago more than 40 years. This year Chicago received an early victory, becoming the fan favorite with 37 million ballots, more than 23% of the vote.
