Josh Homme fans have described the Queens of the Stone Age frontman’s forthcoming appearance on CBeebies show Bedtime Stories as ‘the best news ever’.

The musician will first read Julia Donaldson’s Zog, a story about a clumsy yet determined dragon which won the author the Galaxy National Children’s Book of the Year award.

He is also set to read two other as yet unconfirmed tales to CBeebies viewers in subsequent episodes of the children’s show.
