Peter Tork of the Monkees has passed away at age 77.
The bassist and vocalist was a cancer survivor who was declared cancer-free in 2012 after a rare form of tongue cancer. His cause of death has not been officially announced.
Peter Tork’s official Facebook page released a statement:
Tork is the second Monkees band member to pass away, as Davy Jones suffered from a heart attack in 2012.
