Mötley Crüe Music Sales Shoot Up After the Release of “The Dirt”

After the release of their biopic, Mötley Crüe’s music shot back up on the charts.

The band’s record sales have grown up 2,000% according to a report. The soundtrack to The Dirt reached No. 1 on the iTunes All Genres Chart, while the band’s Greatest Hits album went up to No. 2 domestically and No. 11 worldwide. Spotify streams also went up from 400,000 streams per day to 3.6 million.

The 2001 autobiographical book that The Dirt is based on also saw a rise in sales, as it returned to the top of the music biography chart on Amazon.
