Even the Prince of Darkness gets frustrated with his own work sometimes – Ozzy Osbourne admitted his dislike for playing “S.A.T.O” from his 1981 Diary of a Madman album.
During a recent interview with Billy Idol guitarist Billy Morrison, they discussed his expansive catalog over the span of his solo career. When asked about which of his 173 songs frustrated him the most, Osbourne had an answer.
“’S.A.T.O.’ was one,” he revealed. “I always remember that – I was in the studio, and Sharon [Osbourne] wanted to go somewhere and I went, ‘That’ll do!’ And in the back of my mind, I knew I let something go. But you know what? The amount of people that come up to me and go, ‘Why don’t you ever play that live?’ Only I know!”
