Joe Elliott said Def Leppard wouldn’t rule out a new biopic after the recent success of many other rock bands’ biopics.

Back in 2001, VH1’s Hysteria – The Def Leppard Story had been considered a flop. In April 2019, Elliott had gone as far as to say that the release had been “the biggest pile of shit ever made,” saying he thought no one would ever be interested in another Def Leppard film after that.

However, Elliott seems to have had a change of heart following the success of movies such as Bohemian Rhapsody, Rocketman, and The Dirt.

“We’re not gonna fund one ourselves, but if Pixar or Disney or somebody decided they wanted to do it, we would embrace it the same way we ended up embracing the [Rock and Roll] Hall of Fame,” he said.
