Rush’s Music Streaming Rises 776 Percent After Neil Peart’s Passing

Neil Peart’s sudden death caused a noticeable surge in streams and sales for Rush’s music.

When news of Peart’s passing broke on Jan. 10, streams of the band’s songs rose 776 percent in the U.S. Sales increased over 2,000 percent as well, according to Billboard.

Nielsen Music/MRC Data also reported that on-demand audio and video streams of Rush’s songs increased to a combined 24.53 million.
