Corrosion of Conformity drummer Reed Mullin passed away at 53 years old.

The news was confirmed via his bandmates last night (January 27) on social media. The post read, “It’s with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a friend, a brother and pioneer. Love and condolences to the family, friends and fans who will miss you and thanks for the music.”

Mullin had co-founded Corrosion of Conformity in 1982 as a hardcore punk act with bassist Mike Dean and guitarist Woody Weatherman. He had been forced to miss multiple shows in the past four years due to various health issues, such as an alcohol-related seizure in 2016.

Our condolences go out to his family and loved ones.
