It was January 18th 2016 when the world lost Glenn Frey, founding guitarist of country rock band the Eagles.

When heavier music like hard rock and punk were becoming popular, Frey held on to the peaceful nature of California sounds when he formed the Eagles in Los Angeles in 1971 with Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, and Randy Meisner. Writing classic rock staples including Take It Easy, Already Gone, and Lyin’ Eyes, Frey proved he was a master of his craft.

Frey branched out into a solo career throughout the ’80s and ’90s, but still continued to tour with his former bandmates until his last year of life. He is missed every single day.
