Last week, the Foo Fighters announced two concerts that will be taking place in the Fall to honor their late drummer Taylor Hawkins. The first concert will take place at London’s Wembley Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 3 and the second is happening on September 22nd, at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. Today, the official lineup has been announced for both concerts.
Although more guests are expected to arrive, the Los Angeles lineup currently stands with the following impressive list of musicians: Chris Chaney, Stewart Copeland, Miley Cyrus, Omar Hakim, Joshua Homme, Joan Jett, Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, Brian May, Mark Ronson, Alanis Morissette, Gene Simmons, Nikki Sixx, Chad Smith, Luke Spiller, Roger Taylor, Rufus Taylor, Jon Theodore, Wolfgang Van Halen, Brad Wilk and Pat Wilson. There will also be a special appearance by Taylor Hawkins’ cover band that he played with Chevy Metal.
The concert will certainly be the most appropriate way to celebrate Hawkins’ legacy…with pure rock ‘n’ roll. Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 17th at 9AM local time.
