Olivia-Newton John helped transform movie-musicals when she starred in the 1977 film Grease as the good-girl-gone-bad Sandy. It was the role of a lifetime as Sandy would be one of the most popular movie characters of all time. Everyone will always remember Sandy’s emotional rendition of Hopelessly Devoted To You.

Sadly, the actress passed away yesterday at the age of 73, her husband John Easterling announced. No specific cause was given, but he did mention her breast cancer diagnosis in 1992, which returned in 2017.

Along with her acting career, Olivia topped the charts with her pop hits multiple times, which included her songs I Honestly Love You and Have You Never Been Mellow. She was also known for her lovable and sweet personality that was impossible to not be captivated by.
