It’s about time we got a Led Zeppelin documentary!

Becoming Led Zeppelin will be the first official documentary focusing on the legendary rock band. The “hybrid docu-concert film” has been in the works for years, but is set to be released in theaters now that it has been completed and acquired by Sony Pictures Classics. No specific release date has been scheduled.

Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page said in a press release, “When I saw the early cut of the film premiered, at the Venice Film Festival, it was amazing. The energy of the story, and the power of the music, is phenomenal.”

The film, directed by Bernard MacMahon features interviews with Page, Robert Plant, and John Paul Jones plus unreleased concert footage and photos/recordings from their home lives.

We will definitely be in attendance when the documentary comes out!
