The Who announced a series of new tour dates, including one in Cincinnati that will mark their first performance there since their 1979 tragedy.

On Dec. 3, 1979, a stampede had occurred outside of the Who’s concert where 11 people died. The event had been a general-admission ticketing in a first-come, first-serve basis, causing approximately 7,000 people to fight for a spot.

In a recent conversation with the Associated Press, guitarist Pete Townshend said, “Now we can have a conversation about it when we go back. We will meet people and we’ll be there. That’s what’s important. I’m so glad that we’ve got this opportunity to go back.”
