Red Hot Chili Peppers Rock Down SoFi Stadium With Beck and Thundercat

Red Hot Chili Peppers Rock Down SoFi Stadium With Beck and Thundercat

Last night the Red Hot Chili Peppers skyrocketed the energy of Los Angeles when they performed at SoFi Stadium.

As they recently kicked off their 2022 tour, this night was extra special for the Los Angeles funk rock band since it was their hometown show. The Chili Peppers made sure to tribute the love for the “City of Angels” with multiple mentions, including Flea flashing his Lakers’ inspired bass guitar.

Funk bassist Thundercat opened up the night and filled the massive stadium with a funkified energy before musician Beck took the stage. Beck brought his experimental rock to the show with underground gems and classics such as Loser.

Another reason the night was especially memorable is because the Red Hot Chili Peppers recently reunited with longtime guitarist John Frusciante who left the band in 2009. Frusciante joined back up with the band on their latest album Unlimited Love, which was released earlier this year. The audience sure got a treat to see Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith and John Frusciante back together again for some classic Chili Peppers.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers performed their mass amounts of hits including Dani California, Californication, Scar Tissue, and Can’t Stop, along with new songs like These Are The Ways and The Heavy Wing.

The Chili Peppers are still on fire and announced at the show they have yet another album on its way later this year called Return of the Dream Canteen.
