The Who’s Pete Townshend admitted that the only thing he doesn’t argue about with Roger Daltrey is the fact that they’re both old.
In a recent interview with the Dallas News, the guitarist said multiple songs off of their new upcoming album explore the topic of growing older.
“Growing old includes growing up, even in the rock business,” Townshend reflected. “I listen now to what Roger says, attend to what he needs as an artist and try to be a supportive colleague onstage. I also try to sincerely demonstrate that I love him.”
“The songs are about what we agree on,” he continued, “and one thing we can’t argue about is that we are both old.”
